The newsletter

The newsletter is sent with Kit (Kit’s privacy policy). When you sign up, Kit keeps your email address and the date you signed up, and notes whether you open my emails and click their links.

I use it to send you the Dear Jane story and news of my books. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

What stays in your browser

If you read an opening, your browser remembers where you stopped (in its local storage), so you can carry on later. If you step sideways, this tab remembers which side you’re on (in its session storage) until you close it.

Neither is ever sent anywhere.
